HR West Conference Presentation
From March 11-13, 2019, NCHRA (Next Concept HR Association) held its annual HR West Conference in Oakland, California. This conference annually draws more than 1,000 participants and provides for HR Professionals with up to 100 concurrent Human Resource sessions to choose from over the three-day period.
I had the honor of presenting to a large group of HR Professionals on the topic of, “Interdepartmental Partnerships: The Lifeblood of HR.” As with all my sessions, an interactive and participative learning environment ensued allowing real time participate involvement and dialogue. Current real-world topics were explored including, “What is HR?”, “Who has Real Responsibility and Ownership for HR Functions”, “Sphere of Influence”, “HR’s role in Being the Driver of Change” and more.
My session was focused on helping HR Professionals unlock their sphere of influence, begin establishing and managing partnerships with their counterparts and effectively begin to be the driver of organizational change. Lastly understanding how these key roles play in both day to day activates and forming and maintaining strategic alliances and professional partnerships. It was an honor to present to such a distinguished group of HR professionals.
