The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) uses inspections as a key enforcement tool and hands out high level fines to build a “culture of compliance.” ICE is trying to get our attention but in this case this organization appears to have totally missed it. It became costly for them. Audit your I-9 files and make sure the basics are covered.
